Brooke Holloway
Groomer/Salon Manager
Brooke grew up surrounded by show poodles, so it’s no surprise that grooming became her calling. With over 5 years of professional grooming experience, she specializes in hand-scissoring and takes pride in mentoring the next generation of groomers—two of whom, Lexy and McKenna, trained directly under her guidance. Her favorite breeds to work with? Schnauzers, for their classic cuts, and Golden Retrievers, for their sweet, goofy personalities. Clients describe her grooming style as fun, interactive, and creative. At home, Brooke shares life with Carl, her mini poodle, who doubles as a “therapy dog” in the salon—helping nervous pups feel more comfortable. She creates a stress-free environment for every dog, giving them one-on-one attention from start to finish. Outside of grooming, Brooke enjoys coffee, current country music, and dreams of traveling to Italy. If she were a dog breed herself, she’d be an Airedale Terrier—strong, confident, and ready to take the lead.

Lexi Cutshaw
Groomer
Lexy’s passion for grooming is rooted in both her love of animals and her artistic side. Growing up surrounded by farm animals—horses, donkeys, sheep, and more—she knew early on that she wanted to work with animals. That background also made her fearless when it comes to handling big dogs. Though she’s been grooming for just a year, Lexy has already found her groove, specializing in outline trims and creative grooming. She especially enjoys deshedding larger breeds like Huskies and Bernese Mountain Dogs, finding the transformation both satisfying and rewarding. Her grooming style can be summed up in three words: detail-oriented, positive, and patient. Lexy doesn’t currently have a dog, but she’s a proud cat mom to Goo and Willson. Her approach with nervous pups is simple: take things slow and adjust to each dog’s unique personality and cues. What she loves most about Chow Bella is the individualized, one-on-one attention each pet receives. When she’s not grooming, Lexy fuels up with coffee, rocks out to her favorite 2000s punk playlist, and dreams of visiting the Netherlands—famous for its dog-friendly culture. If she were a dog breed, she says she’d be a Golden Retriever: loyal, easygoing, and always ready to make friends.

Emily Slaton
Groomer
Emily found her inspiration for grooming through her heart dog, Lacie, and has been in the profession for almost 10 years. For the past 4 years, she’s been an integral part of the Chow Bella team, known for her gentle touch, compassion, and keen eye for detail. Her specialties include breed-specific cuts and “anything fluffy,” with a particular love for round, teddy-bear faces. She’s especially fond of grooming poodles, doodles, and bichons — breeds that allow her to showcase her creativity and skill. Emily is a proud dog mom to three: Lacie, who is nearly 10 years old; Scout, a lively Husky; and Preston, her intelligent and spunky Standard Poodle. She believes what makes Chow Bella truly special is its welcoming, loving environment — a place where both dogs and their people feel at home. For nervous pups, Emily focuses on building trust through positive reinforcement, patience, and lots of affection. Outside the salon, Emily enjoys coffee (lots of it!), dreams of dog-friendly beach vacations, and relates most to the Border Collie — active, ambitious, and always eager for the next challenge.
